About me

Magister iuris Matthias Schaller has served as an attorney-at-law at Benn-Ibler Rechtsanwälte since August 2026. Prior to this role, he operated his own law practice in Salzburg and was employed as a trainee attorney at a Salzburg law firm from April 2022 to May 2026. Mr Schaller completed his judicial internship from June 2021 to March 2022 and passed the bar examination before the Higher Regional Court of Linz, Upper Austria, in October 2024.

Mr Schaller specialises in civil law, corporate law, and succession law, drawing on extensive experience in civil litigation. He provides clients with comprehensive guidance in identifying potential legal risks by proactively and formulating effective, sustainable solutions.

Mr Schaller consistently employs a methodical and conscientious approach, ensuring that the unique needs of every client are given priority. His goal is to provide straightforward, solution-oriented advice and customised legal strategies for complex matters.

Mr Schaller undertook his legal education at the University of Graz and Paris Lodron University of Salzburg, where he completed his thesis entitled The Protection of Minors in the Digital World, with an emphasis on civil law.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr Schaller was a lecturer at EUROPE DIRECT in Styria from March 2015 to October 2017, where he delivered presentations and led workshops as part of the EU in Schools initiative. This experience contributed significantly to the development of his communication and mediation skills, enabling him to articulate complex legal concepts with precision and clarity.
